Job Summary:

This Senior Financial Accountant role offers an exciting opportunity to join our close-knit finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the month-end process, financial reporting, statutory reporting, and creating tax reports for the business. You will partner with the broader business in respect to financial reporting and decision support, ensuring accurate accounting and cost centre allocations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports for various business units and corporate cost centres.
  • Partner with the broader business in respect to financial reporting and decision support.
  • Prepare journal entries to ensure P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, addressing review matters promptly.
  • Prepare monthly financial results, ensuring accurate accounting and cost centre allocations.
  • Assist with the preparation of Statutory Accounts and ensure compliance with IFRS.
  • Assist in identifying, developing and implementing efficient processes including the roll-out of new ERP.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting and financial policies of parent entity.
  • Completion of revenue and expense accruals and provision journals.
  • Assist with management and upskilling of the team.

Candidate Profile

You are highly energetic and wish to be in a critical role driving performance for a business. You hold an accounting degree, are CA or CPA qualified and have a strong understanding and ownership experience of a large P&L. Ideally coming out of an environment where you developed strong IRFS16 experience. With exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are flexible in working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. A passion for continuous improvement and taking things to the next level is at the core of who you are. Your leadership and stakeholder engagement skills will ensure your success.
