Job Summary

We are seeking per diem Support Service Workers to work at The Nottingham, Central New York's Premiere Retirement Community. As a Dining Services Associate, you will provide an enjoyable dining experience for our residents by taking orders and delivering meals to them for both daily dining and catered events.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and their guests
  • Take and serve orders in courses, ensuring that each resident receives their meal in a timely manner
  • Clear each course before next course is brought out, maintaining a clean and tidy dining area
  • Tables are cleared and re-set after each meal, ensuring that everything is spotless
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working with residents and colleagues on a daily basis
  • You will also be responsible for enthusiastically greeting guests, answering questions, and making suggestions regarding food and drinks
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is not required, but a strong desire to learn and grow is essential
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language is necessary for success in this role
  • You must be able to adapt to changes in schedule to meet resident needs, which may include working special events, weekends, evenings, and observed holidays
  • Reliable transportation is required, as we are not located on a bus route
