Database Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and maintain critical hosting and database platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT service providers to ensure exceptional operations and run database services, including governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage service agreements and supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and adherence to established standards.
- Monitor and maintain the availability and health of database systems and services, taking proactive measures to ensure optimal performance.
- Partner with IT staff to develop comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and automation systems.
- Support the identification and resolution of complex problems, utilizing technical knowledge and skills to drive effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Platform teams to understand dependencies that may impact project delivery and success.
Requirements:
- Experience in SQL database administration within a medium to large organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure services, including hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL databases.
- Partnership experience with IT service providers is essential.
- AWS or Azure experience is advantageous.
- Financial Services industry experience is advantageous.
