Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team based in Perth, Western Australia. This is a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, data science, and business intelligence initiatives.

You will work with modern cloud-native technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines.
  • Building data models on cloud data warehousing platforms.
  • Implementing orchestration workflows and data quality frameworks.
  • Optimising performance and ensuring data governance compliance.
  • Contributing to architectural design and mentoring junior engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This is a mid-senior level position requiring 5+ years of experience in data engineering. You will need proven expertise in tools such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks (PySpark/Scala), and Airflow. Strong SQL skills and proficiency in programming languages like Python or Scala are essential.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), version control (Git), and data warehousing concepts is required. Desirable skills include familiarity with Informatica IICS, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes, and Terraform.
