Job Overview: The Pipeline Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in their team's effectiveness and contributes to the success of projects. As a lead, they coordinate the work of others and propose improvements to processes and methods within the Pipeline Discipline.

The Pipeline Solutions Architect will be involved in all projects assigned to them, working in both leadership and execution capacities. They must deliver design deliverables as required, in consultation with the Design and Engineering leads.

Key Responsibilities:Design and Engineering
  • Perform design and engineering process facilities within a specified time while adhering to maintenance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Set priorities, organize own work and time to meet objectives, and forecast and plan resource requirements.
  • Develop 3D models and ensure clash-free models in coordination with all other disciplines' requirements.
  • Ensure design deliverables are completed and issued per project specifications, and within agreed schedules.
Leadership and Coordination
  • Lead the design team to complete tasks within the planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards and project-specific procedures.
  • Act as a project-based discipline point of contact in communications and meetings with the Project Team, Client, vendor/supplier, and/or subcontractor counterparts.
  • Ensure that inter-discipline aspects of the design and deliverables are addressed.
  • Coordinate 3D model reviews and ensure review comments are closed.
Communication and Interfacing
  • Ensure effective communications among other disciplines and effective management of change.
  • Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications.
  • Monitor and coordinate the design team remotely, if required, and can lead a project in a Multi-Office Project Execution Environment (MOPEX).
Requirements:
10 years minimum experience with a major contractor or consultant, including 5+ years of experience in offshore oil and gas.
Experience as a Lead Designer on a small or medium-sized project is essential.
High School graduate with a diploma in Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
