Support Worker Opportunities

We are seeking Support Workers to join our team at a 24/7 AOD Rehabilitation Facility. The facility provides services for individuals experiencing alcohol and drug harms, family violence, mental health challenges, and social disadvantage.

The successful applicant will ensure the rehabilitation facility is a safe and supportive environment for residents to participate in AOD rehabilitation treatment. This includes supporting senior team members to initiate effective treatment planning, addressing identified client needs.

Key responsibilities include:

">
  • Participating in the orientation and ongoing support of new residents">
  • Providing practical and emotional support to residents during admissions and discharges">
  • Facilitating group interventions focused on a range of treatment modalities">
  • Maintaining accurate and timely client documentation and case notes">
  • Working across a 24-hour roster, including day, evening, weekend, sleepover, and overnight shifts">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will require:

">
  • 2+ years' experience working within the AOD or mental health sector">
  • Case management skills and ability to write clear and professional documentation">
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team">
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills">
  • Certificate IV in AOD or AOD Skill Set">
  • Ideally, qualifications in a health-related discipline (e.g., social work, youth work, mental health, psychology)">
