Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the management of public place staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and promoting community trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership in managing staff to deliver exceptional results
  • Motivate and develop team performance to meet rigorous service standards
  • Maintain workplace health and safety standards ensuring compliance against relevant regulations
  • Promote a high standard of service delivery that enhances community trust through effective communication
  • Resolve customer requests efficiently and contribute to a positive customer experience
Requirements
  • Experience in task allocation, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution
  • Understanding of public civil assets such as roads, drainage, pathways, signage, street furniture, etc.
  • Familiarity with inspection standards, maintenance planning, and asset condition reporting
  • Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Relevant qualification in trades or related experience
  • Demonstrated practical experience in delivering high quality work within set timeframes and reporting on progress using computer-based systems
  • Ability to use computer-based systems and mobile devices for field reporting
  • Competence in supervising and motivating a diverse team
  • Class C (minimum) NSW Drivers licence
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision together with a commitment to working in a team environment and multi-skilling
  • Strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety
  • Skills and knowledge in road, drainage and civil public infrastructure
  • Demonstrated skills & experience in manual handling
  • Focus on delivering positive outcomes for the public
