Job Description

As a Team Leader in Public Place, you will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to manage staff. You will provide day-to-day direction, supervision, and support to inspection staff, motivate and develop team performance to meet service standards, maintain WHS&E standards ensuring compliance against relevant Statutory Regulations, promote a high standard of service delivery that enhances community trust, and communicate effectively with our customers to efficiently resolve requests and contribute to a positive customer experience.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience in task allocation, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution is essential. You should have an understanding of public civil assets such as roads, drainage, pathways, signage, street furniture, etc. Familiarity with inspection standards, maintenance planning, and asset condition reporting is also required. The ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions, possess relevant qualification in trades or related experience, demonstrate practical experience and ability to deliver high-quality work within set timeframes, report on progress using computer-based systems, use computer-based systems, and competence in using mobile devices for field reporting are necessary skills. A Class C (minimum) NSW Drivers licence and ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team are also mandatory. Additionally, strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety, skills and knowledge in road, drainage, and civil public infrastructure, demonstrated skills & experience in manual handling, focus on delivering positive outcomes for the public, and General Worksite Induction Ticket are desirable.
