We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Policy and Planning Officer to join our team at the First Nations Health Office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving health sector reform for First Nations people and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and plans to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Conduct health needs analysis and assessment to inform policy and investment decisions.
  • Manage projects and programs related to the planning, purchasing, and management of the Queensland Government's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health budget.
  • Provide high-quality advice to senior leaders on issues related to the planning, delivery, and performance of health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Represent the Department on inter-agency and inter-governmental committees and working groups to progress Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues.
