The role of a Dietitian - Deputy Head of Department - Coastal Network involves leading the delivery of quality services in dietetics to patients/clients of the SNSW Local Health District.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary team and making clinical and operational decisions.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve health outcomes.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on nutrition and dietetics matters.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports.

Applicants for this position must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia (DA).
  • Demonstrated highly proficient written, verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively and lead a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and organise dietetics caseloads across a small regional team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and leading implementation of evidence based practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in participating in clinical research and knowledge of the research process.
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence and the ability to maintain it.
