Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our client's winning team. As a key member, you will support drivers through the efficient allocation of transport routes, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of materials across quarry and landfill operations.

Responsibilities

  • Transport Route Allocation: Schedule routes based on business requirements, vehicle availability, and Truck & Dog schedules.">
  • Driver Support: Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of material.">
  • Fleet Management: Monitor and track fleet movements to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.">
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation, including rerouting and rescheduling as necessary.">
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, warehouse) to ensure smooth operations.">
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle allocations, routes, and schedules.">
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and transportation regulations.">
  • Performance Reporting: Provide timely updates and reports to senior management on transport performance.">

Requirements

We require a proven industry specialist with experience in Heavy Haulage/Truck & Dog allocation. Key skills include strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in transport management software or scheduling tools.
