Senior Quality Control Specialist

About the OpportunityAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to oversee the compliance to standards across our entire manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished goods, across our four cheese and ingredients manufacturing facilities.
This role requires travel to our sites on a weekly basis, and hours may vary depending on site needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting and monitoring of key quality KPIs to drive quality and food safety improvements.
- Overseeing the management of all non-compliance issues and ensuring correct processes are followed and corrective actions are implemented.
- Driving continuous improvement to improve the quality and safety of our current and new products and processes.
- Ensuring compliance to correct quality and food safety procedures.
- Ensuring quality improvement plans for each site are kept updated and actions are closed out on time.
- Actively participating in the withdrawal and recall process and working with sites through the recall process to identify root cause.
- Providing guidance through the new product development process to ensure specifications are accurate and food safety and quality risks are managed appropriately.
- Ensuring all quality and food safety hazards are identified and controlled.
- Coordinating the GMP improvement program across sites.
- Ensuring the implementation of Lactalis quality procedures across sites.
- Conducting leadership quality audits to monitor quality risk across sites.
- Reviewing site quality dashboards and helping sites understand trends and implement actions where required.
- Data analysis and monitoring for weekly/monthly reporting.
- Advising and supporting SBU sites and leadership teams on all matters relating to quality.
- 5+ years' experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG quality role.
- Tertiary qualification consistent with the industry (desirable).
- Knowledge or understanding of GFSI, HACCP, and customer standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise and influence people at all levels of the business.
- Excel and SAP knowledge.
- Strong continuous improvement focus.
