About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced credit controller to join our Credit Control team. This is a full-time role that will report to our Credit Control Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a dedicated ledger of customer accounts
  • Set, monitor, and update customer credit limits
  • Liaise with branch managers on late payments and trading extensions
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
  • Contact customers for payment and arrange payment schedules where necessary
  • Initiate debt recovery procedures, including recommending legal action
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Process new accounts, manage credit holds, and provide advice and recommendations on minimizing bad debts
  • Undertake financial transactions associated with account payments, invoicing, and solving account queries

About You:

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, supported by an engaging and professional manner
  • Prior experience in credit control or a related field
  • Excellent MS Office Suite proficiency, with emphasis on Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, with proven time management, planning, and organization skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Great attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and a flair for risk analysis
