At The Salvation Army, we are seeking a talented Store Manager to lead our Gungahlin Salvos Stores team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves retail, is passionate about making a difference, and is looking for a challenging role with a purpose-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading a high-performing team of paid employees and volunteers to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided every day, in every interaction, through efficient operational and visual merchandise standards.
  • Planning and managing the financial performance of the store, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Building and supporting a strong volunteer workforce and engaging with the local community.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent people leadership and management abilities, as well as:

  • Previous experience in a similar industry, preferably in retail management or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Workday HCM system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, and customers.
