Who we are looking for:

The Security Engineering team oversees all the operational tools that supports security for UNIX. The IT Security Infrastructure Operations role supports other security engineers in our group and works closely with our business sponsors.  In this role you are encouraged to use current technologies where applicable and are responsible for full life-cycle development tasks.

As IT Unix Security Ops you will:

  • Work with Team to Gather and understand requirements.
  • Work to understand standards from the team as well to ensure a successful approach to the best solution.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
  • Pay attention to monitoring and reporting.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Information Science related field
  • 3-5 years of related work experience/security engineering experience
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred
  • Experience with UNIX OS
  • Experience managing UNIX tools such as UNIX scripting
  • PBRUN (Beyond Trust) a plus
  • Unix Scripting (PERL, Python) a plus

Additional requirements

  • Experience in handling and administering permissions on Unix devices etc.
  • Basic Microsoft Office operation
  • Ability to execute batch files
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures; attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision making ability around complex problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
