The position of Orthopaedic Nurse Educator is available in a permanent full-time capacity. This pivotal role involves working closely with Nursing Unit Managers to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education and staff development initiatives.
This opportunity fosters a culture of continuous learning and excellence by supporting the development and enhancement of clinical skills among nursing staff within the unit.
As an experienced nurse, you will play a key role in identifying learning needs and planning, delivering, and evaluating education for staff.
This will involve working collaboratively with colleagues to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled nurse who can work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality educational support to staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate education for nursing staff.
- Work closely with Nursing Unit Managers to identify learning needs and develop strategies to address these.
- Mentor and precept staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Establish and maintain a learning environment that supports continuous learning and professional development.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification.
- Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel.
- Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate education.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring, and preceptorship.
