Job Title

We are seeking a senior leader to head our project and design delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive high-performing teams.

About the Role

The Department Manager will be responsible for leading the successful execution of projects within the contract, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear direction and defining roles and responsibilities for the team.
  • Championing a proactive safety culture in line with our company's values.
  • Developing and implementing business plans, managing budgets, and overseeing project performance.
  • Conducting financial and commercial reviews, ensuring cost controls, accurate forecasting, and optimising project outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven TMR experience in delivering complex projects and programs of work within a safe and structured environment.
  • Strong leadership and cultural skills, including the ability to lead teams through change and drive continuous improvement.
  • A strategic and financial acumen, with a strong understanding of costing, budgeting, forecasting, subcontractor management, and risk assessment.
  • Resilience and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate competing stakeholder interests while maintaining a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing the design and construction of asset management projects or similar programs. RPEQ certification (mandatory). Project Management qualifications (highly desirable).
