Job Title: Science Teacher

Magdalene Catholic College, a co-educational high school in the Macarthur region, is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join our faculty. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Science across various year groups and levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Science to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments
  • Support students in their academic and personal growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic excellence
Essential Criteria:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Catholic School's mission and purpose
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Apply knowledge of diverse student needs to support their full participation in learning
  • Ability to plan and implement effective teaching and learning in Science
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyze data to inform student learning
Desirable Criteria:
  • Aptitude and willingness to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College
  • Ability to teach Religious Education
General Capabilities:
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications:
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Science
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy
  • Registration to teach with NESA
