Job Title: Science Teacher

Magdalene Catholic College, a co-educational high school in the Macarthur region, seeks a dedicated Science Teacher to join our faculty. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching Science across various year groups and levels.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be required to create and maintain a supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L). You will apply your knowledge of diverse student needs to support their full participation in learning and plan effective teaching and learning strategies in Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Science to students across various year groups and levels
  • Create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Apply knowledge of diverse student needs to support their learning
  • Plan and implement effective teaching and learning strategies in Science
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to inform student learning
Essential Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
Desirable Selection Criteria
  • Aptitude to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College
  • Ability to teach Religious Education
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Science
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy
  • Registration to teach with NESA
Working with Children Clearance

This role requires a Working With Children Check prior to employment.
