Reliable Equine Care Specialist Wanted

We are seeking a reliable and motivated stable hand to care for the health and well-being of horses. As a key member, you will ensure the welfare and safety of our equine team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equine Care
    • Brush, groom, feed, handle, and walk horses in a safe and humane manner
    • Prepare, assemble, and store horse gear as directed by senior staff members
  • Horse Stable Maintenance
    • Clean and maintain stables (including mucking out boxes) to prevent disease and injury
    • Saddle horses for track work
    • Provide swimming services for horses
  • General Duties
    • Sweep and clean the stables on a daily basis

Applicants with experience working with horses, particularly young horses/colts, are preferred. You must be physically fit and able to carry out instructions with minimal supervision. A current driver's license and own vehicle are also essential.

Hours of work may include:

  • Full-time position: Monday to Saturday, 3:30am - 8:00am or 2:00pm - 4:30pm, with every second weekend off
  • Casual part-time position (mornings only): Monday to Saturday, 3:30am - 8:00am

This is a paid above award standard position.
