Job Title: Livestock Operations Specialist

The role of the Livestock Operations Specialist is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled individual to join our team. As a key member of our livestock operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all animals in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Rehearse and learn roles or characters allocated by following direction given from the show director and management team.
  • Ensure all animals are treated with care and respect, encouraging them to perform to their highest ability.
  • Follow the direction of the equine manager regarding animal behaviors and training.
  • Maintain all animal areas, backstage areas, and stables to the highest standards.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for all team members and animals.
  • Ensure all show equipment, costumes, and saddlery are maintained and used to the highest safety standards, and all pre-show and post-show checks are completed as directed.
  • Responsible for maintaining your fitness levels and physical attributes required to fulfill the role.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to display exceptional riding skills and horsemanship abilities.
  • Experience in working with other livestock (e.g. cattle, sheep, work dogs) is desirable.
  • Ability to attend physicals as directed by the company and maintain physical fitness for the role.
  • Previous performing in a live theatrical environment is desirable.
