Located on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, our school is an independent, coeducational institution comprising two Junior Campuses and a Senior Campus.

The Learning Enhancement Teacher role focuses on increasing access and engagement for all students by identifying and removing barriers to learning. The successful candidate will work with students, teachers and families to help develop, support and deliver individualised programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualised programs for students
  • Working collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide in-class support for student learning
  • Developing, creating and regularly updating ILP/PLPS and goals
  • Reviewing cognitive screeners and applying implications to ILP/PLPs

Selection Criteria:

  • Understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
  • Relevant teaching experience or experience working with children
  • Understanding of Learning Disabilities
  • Understanding of program modification
  • Strong alignment with professional practice expectations
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible and manage changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team

Education and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Education
  • Qualifications in Inclusive Education or related areas and/or relevant experience working in these areas in schools

Conditions of Employment

  • VIT Registration is required for this position
  • Qualification and First Aid Training confirmation is required for this position
