Locomotive Driver Position

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will operate locomotives in accordance with set standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mainline, shunting and marshalling trains.
  • Certify trains as ready for departure.
  • Maintain a high level of on-time running.
  • Conduct brake testing on locomotives.
  • Provide excellent customer service to meet business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work 24/7 shift roster.
  • Experience in freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving.
  • Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent.
  • Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence.
