We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, supporting them to live independently and on their own terms.">
As a Disability Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to clients with personal care, community access, and daily routines. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and develop personalized plans to support their goals and aspirations.">
">Key Responsibilities:">
  • ">
  • Providing personal care and support to clients with disabilities, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.">
  • Accompanying clients on outings and activities in the community, promoting social interaction and inclusion.">
  • Assisting clients with daily routines, such as meal preparation and household tasks.">
  • Developing and implementing behavior support plans to address challenging behaviors.">
  • Collaborating with clinicians, case workers, and families to ensure comprehensive support for clients.">

">Requirements:">
To be successful in this role, you will need:">

  • ">
  • A Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Disability or related field, or equivalent experience.">
  • A minimum of 6-12 months' experience in disability support, aged care, home care, or mental health.">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.">
  • Emotional intelligence and boundary setting skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviors.">
  • NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, Driver's Licence, and insured vehicle.">
