Job Opportunity: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disability support, aged care or related fields, with a Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Disability or similar. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

About the Role:

  • Provide individualized support to clients with varying levels of need, including personal care, community access, and daily routines
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement client-centered plans
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment that promotes social inclusion and community participation
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in disability support and related areas

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-12 months' experience in disability, aged care, home care, mental health or related fields
  • Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care or similar (preferred)
  • Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and boundary setting
  • Experience with high-intensity behavioural support (advantageous but not required)
  • NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, Driver's Licence, and insured vehicle
