Leading Service Team

As a Service Leadership professional, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians and apprentices in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Facilitate the assignment of tasks and work areas to employees based on their skills and expertise.
- Aid in evaluating incoming repair orders and engage in hands-on repairs as needed.
- Review repair orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Guide and support technicians and apprentices in diagnosing machine issues.
- Inspect and maintain all special tools, recommending new tools as necessary.
- Communicate customer complaints to the relevant manager.
- Organize and schedule training for technicians, including quarterly safety meetings.
- Coordinate equipment reconditioning and setup.
- May authorize equipment release for customer delivery.
- Assist with performance appraisal feedback and participate in selection and onboarding processes.
The ideal candidate possesses strong time management skills, a desire to excel, and excellent communication abilities. This role is suitable for a technician seeking to enhance their skills or an experienced manager looking for a fresh opportunity.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician, strong leadership skills, familiarity with John Deere products, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. A forklift license is preferred.
