Role DescriptionThe Integrated Primary Mental Health Care Program provides therapy to individuals experiencing mild to moderate signs of mental illness. This program caters to all ages from 6 years. As a Case Worker, you will:
- Refer and assist clients to access specialist services and support groups.
- Evaluate interventions and modify safety, support and recovery plans as necessary.
- Provide information and education to clients, families and other service providers.
- Offer outreach services to clients in their region, including individual case work, focus groups, community events and partnerships.
- Support families and carers where appropriate.
- Promote mental health services and resources for clients.
- Deliver low-intensity early interventions focusing on support, education and skill development to improve self-management.
To be successful, you will require a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, experience in mental health-related services, and knowledge of working with vulnerable clients. You must also possess excellent communication and networking skills, computer literacy and a National Police Certificate.
