Mental Health Support Specialist

The organization seeks a skilled and empathetic Counsellor - Mental Health to deliver high-quality services to individuals in need.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs to inform case planning and referrals.
- Evaluate support services to ensure they meet client requirements.
- Refer clients to appropriate mainstream specialist services and support groups.
- Respond appropriately to clients in crisis situations.
- Facilitate group sessions as required.
- Recognized tertiary-level qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, or related disciplines.
- Provisionally/registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with registration from AHPRA.
- Social Worker eligible for ASWA registration.
- Experience in short-term therapy with individuals, couples, and families.
- Relevant experience working with children and families with complex needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in intake and assessment processes.
- Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
- Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge.
- Strong professional boundaries.
- WA Driver's license.
- National Police Clearance (valid for 12 months).
- Working With Children Check or eligibility to apply.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering quality mental health services. They will also be knowledgeable about local community resources and services.
