Intergenerational Program Coordinator

This role plays a pivotal part in establishing quality programs that support parents and caregivers with children under 5 to connect with the older generation. The aim is to bring together the young and young at heart, fostering relationships through play.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Aged Care system and intergenerational practice and playgroup models. Additionally, you must have experience working with volunteers and possess highly developed interpersonal skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of Playgroup NSW's intergenerational strategy.
  • Develop and manage Timeless Play offerings across multiple delivery models.
  • Provide recommendations for intergenerational programs based on industry best practices.
  • Engage with stakeholders such as aged care providers, councils, government, and community organizations.
  • Design and create presentations and marketing materials to promote intergenerational play.
  • Attend forums, expos, and other relevant events to promote Playgroup NSW's intergenerational programs.
  • Scope and leverage existing resources within Playgroup NSW and the broader network.
  • Develop webinars, manuals, and training to support intergenerational expansion and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications or experience in Health and Community Services, Aged Care, Early Childhood, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in community development and project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in intergenerational practice and playgroup models.
  • Knowledge of the aged care system.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
