Job Title: Therapeutic Services Coordinator
About the Role:This position is responsible for providing specialist therapeutic and case management services to individuals and families affected by sexual assault or problematic harmful sexualised behaviours. The role will work in partnership with Aboriginal communities, organisations, and relevant stakeholders to develop integrated prevention and response strategies.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the intersection between issues of intergenerational trauma, colonisation, sexual assault, domestic violence, and child protection. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to create connections and collaborations within the Aboriginal community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist therapeutic and case management services to individuals and families affected by sexual assault or problematic harmful sexualised behaviours.
- Work in partnership with Aboriginal communities, organisations, and relevant stakeholders to develop integrated prevention and response strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support services.
- Develop and implement culturally appropriate programs and services to address the needs of the Aboriginal community.
- Academic qualifications in social work or psychology.
- Experience working in a therapeutic environment, preferably with Aboriginal individuals and families.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing tasks.
- Cultural competence and an understanding of the intersection between issues of intergenerational trauma, colonisation, sexual assault, domestic violence, and child protection.
