Salary and Benefits

$35 per hour + 10.5% superannuation, with penalty rates earned on weekends. Ability to apply for higher hourly pay rate after 12 months of employment.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Swim School Instructor to join our team. As a Swim School Instructor, you will have the opportunity to work across our multi-venue programs and help children and adults learn the lifesaving skill of swimming.

Duties
  • Effectively deliver swimming lessons in line with Council's Swim School Instructor Manual.
  • Ensure set up and pack up of all equipment is done in a timely and safe manner.
  • Actively participate in Swim School Team Member in-house training.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must:

  • Demonstrate your ability to swim 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke & 25m Breaststroke.
  • Demonstrate your ability to teach children in a group class environment.
  • Have excellent verbal communication, organisational and time management skills as well as the ability to provide a great customer experience.
  • Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check Clearance number.
  • Hold a current Swim Teacher accreditation from Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia, AustSwim or other recognised licence provider.
  • Hold a current CPR certificate.
COVIDSafe Requirements

Candidates aged 18 years and above must have three COVID-19 vaccinations. Candidates under 18 years old must have two COVID-19 vaccinations and receive the booster upon turning 18.
