Strategic Legal Director

The role of a strategic legal director is to provide high-level legal guidance and oversight that aligns with the organisation's vision and objectives. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as identifying and mitigating potential risks.
This position demands strong legal expertise combined with exceptional leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of legal professionals and working closely with senior stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing strategic legal advice to senior executives and the board of directors
- Managing complex litigation and regulatory matters
- Leading the legal department and developing strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements
- Legally qualified with current Australian unrestricted practising certificate
- Minimum 10 years' post-admission experience or equivalent

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with public sector legal frameworks and policy
