Legal Director Role in Australia

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Legal Director of Compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting commercial activities in Australia.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of legal principles and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic legal advice and operational support for business units and functions in relation to product promotion and launch, market access strategy, and regulatory and reimbursement matters.
  • Leading on ANZ legal topics in the international context, especially with respect to questions or inquiries from colleagues in global headquarters and ACE headquarters.
  • Supporting the development of Gilead-wide responses to areas of wider legal and compliance importance.

The successful candidate will be a motivated pro-active self-starter with a high dedication and natural interest in legal topics in the life-science industry.

The following qualifications and experience are essential:

  • Fully qualified lawyer, admitted to practice in Australia.
  • 10+ years of legal experience preferably with a combination of industry and law firm experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech or other highly regulated industries.
