Job Title: Maintenance Strategist

Maintenance strategists play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure within healthcare settings.

Key responsibilities include creating and prioritizing maintenance work orders using MEX (Maintenance Management System), developing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, and coordinating with maintenance staff and vendors to allocate resources effectively.

Technical expertise, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are essential for this role, which demands effective management of time, prioritization of tasks, and conflict resolution.

Required qualifications include minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance, facilities, or related roles, along with extensive knowledge of routine and scheduled maintenance processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as intermediate computer skills and experience with maintenance systems, are also necessary.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance, facilities or related role.
  • Extensive knowledge of routine and scheduled maintenance processes and procedures.
  • High level of written and oral communication, liaison, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of relevant statutory requirements and Australian Standards.
  • The ability to effectively manage own time and prioritise competing priorities of work.
  • Proven conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills and demonstrated experience in the use of maintenance and finance systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience using MEX (CMMS) or similar Maintenance Management System.
  • Trade Certificate, OR an Advanced Diploma (related to a Trade).
