About this Role

We are seeking a dedicated security professional to join our team at the hospital.

In this role, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors by responding to incidents, de-escalating challenging situations, and collaborating closely with healthcare teams when needed.

You will support frontline healthcare professionals by responding to alarms, supervising key areas, and carrying out essential duties that keep the hospital running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage aggressive incidents, challenging behaviours, and respond to duress situations
  • Provide general assistance, including moving equipment and patients (in line with safety principles), to ensure smooth running of the facility
  • Work independently with minimal direct supervision and effectively as a member of a team
  • Participate in a rotating roster that includes weekends, public holidays, morning, afternoon, and night shifts

Requirements

  • Hold a current NSW Security Industries License 1A, in accordance with the Security Industry Act, 1997
  • Nationally recognised current First Aid Certificate or Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organisation
  • Desirable: experience in the security industry as a Security Officer
