Job Title: Qualified Aviation Tanker Driver

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Australian Defence environment to support national security requirements of the Nation.

We are seeking qualified tanker drivers to join our Operations & Maintenance team at HMAS Albatross Base in the NSW Shoalhaven Region.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operate fuel tanker truck around the fuel installation and defence base
  • Work closely with operator to safely load your fuel tank truck with required fuel
  • Deliver the fuel to the designated fuel point i.e., refuelling point, aircraft on the runway
  • Operate pumps on tanker truck to ensure effective delivery of fuel to aircraft
  • Communicate with internal and external team to ensure good customer experience
  • Support the broader operations team and perform duties within the fuel installation when required

Requirements:

  1. HC Drivers Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence Essential
  2. Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential
  3. Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded
  4. Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team
  5. Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances
  6. Live locally, or willing to relocate to Nowra, NSW or nearby suburbs
