**Senior Research Associate Role**This role is an opportunity to advance research focused on First Nations Social and Emotional Wellbeing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing this field of research, contributing to the holistic understanding of SEWB.Job Description

The Senior Research Associate will work collaboratively with our team to develop initiatives that improve SEWB outcomes for First Nations individuals, families, and communities. This includes investigating factors influencing SEWB of First Nations employees and developing culturally supportive work environments.

  • Lead strengths-based research to develop initiatives that enhance SEWB outcomes for First Nations individuals, families, and communities.
  • Conduct research on workforce SEWB and workplace wellbeing, focusing on culturally responsive solutions.
  • Explore SEWB of First Nations children and youth, identifying factors impacting mental health and wellbeing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A PhD in a related discipline (e.g., psychology, public health, Indigenous studies), and/or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting research on First Nations SEWB with a track record of producing high-quality, culturally relevant research.
  • Proven ability to lead research teams and mentor junior researchers, especially in culturally diverse or interdisciplinary settings.
Benefits
  • Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term until June 2028
  • Remuneration: $155k–$178k base, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • Indigenous language allowance and cultural duties recognition through workload adjustments or allowances
