Role Overview
This position presents an excellent entry-level opportunity for a friendly, meticulous, and detail-oriented Corporate Research Analyst to join our Melbourne office. You will be an integral part of a team that upholds high research standards across IBISWorld's Company database and publications. As a Corporate Research Analyst, your contributions will aid our mission of empowering clients to make informed business decisions by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and other critical information on Australia's largest public and private enterprises.
Upon joining IBISWorld, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and continuous support from your colleagues as you familiarize yourself with our products and your responsibilities.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Analyzing annual company results to extract specific data related to financial performance, shareholders, subsidiaries, contact information, and organizational structure. Utilizing online resources to enhance your research. Contacting individual companies to verify specific information. Updating IBISWorld's Enterprise database with researched data. Participating in annual list projects and product launches.As a successful candidate, you will possess:
An undergraduate degree in a business-related field (related experience and qualifications will be considered). Exceptional attention to detail. Familiarity with financial statements. Strong telephone and communication skills. Knowledge of accounting standards and the ASX. Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently to meet deadlines. Demonstrated self-motivation, autonomy, and initiative. An interest in economic news and current affairs.Benefits
