Bequest Fundraising Opportunity

This is a part-time, permanent role (22.8 hours per week) with flexible location and hybrid working. The position involves developing and delivering strategies to build a sustainable portfolio of bequest supporters.

The Specialist will support the implementation of cultivation activities designed to deepen engagement with existing supporters and grow long-term revenue. This includes engaging with known donors and contributing to efforts to attract new supporters through lead generation, acquisition, and advertising activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and coordinating a multi-faceted direct marketing bequest program to help identify, acquire, and convert leads into the Living Bequest Pipeline.
  • Support the management of relationships with third-party suppliers, including telemarketing agencies, mail houses, and freelance copywriters and designers.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to maximize lead generation activities and conversion strategies across Fundraising, Partnerships, Members, Volunteers, and other relevant teams.
  • Support the promotion of the bequest program to the public by cultivating leads and awareness through advertising and promotional activities across print and digital channels aimed at cold audience acquisition.
  • Work with the Data & Insights team and key stakeholders to develop and use propensity models and reporting tools to evaluate direct marketing performance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability supporting programs to acquire customers/donors and helping grow support into flourishing relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and the ability to adapt messaging to suit different audiences.
  • Professional and approachable, with maturity and diplomacy to engage respectfully with bequest supporters, potential supporters, and donors.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to successfully support and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Jira, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
