Property Network of Australia is seeking a seasoned Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of its extensive property portfolio. This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and optimize facilities management processes within a significant asset base.

This position is initially offered for six months with potential for extension, reporting directly to the Executive Manager Property & Facilities, and temporarily to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and functionality across properties.
  • Develop comprehensive asset service plans, building condition reports, and lifecycle replacement strategies to maximize resource utilization.
  • Oversee the facilities budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities through effective procurement and supplier management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers to guarantee quality service delivery.
  • Plan and manage facilities projects, including upgrades, refurbishments, and new constructions, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Implement preventive maintenance scheduling, re-set work order flows, and streamline invoicing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Drive team engagement and stakeholder collaboration to achieve optimized facilities operations, fostering a culture of excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance for large, geographically dispersed properties.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations within health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.

We estimate this role offers an attractive salary of around $80,000 per annum, commensurate with industry standards and considering the unique requirements of this position.
