Job Summary

We're seeking a professional and motivated Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. This hands-on role involves supervising a diverse team of engineering tradespersons, handypersons, and external contractors. You'll report to the Chief Engineer and provide support with general operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a highly motivated engineering team, assigning daily tasks and managing external contractors.
  • Establish and implement work request systems throughout the hotel.
  • Analyse consumption data from plant and utility readings, reporting on findings.
  • Inspect facilities, equipment, and fire systems for preventative maintenance.
  • Play a key role in Work Health and Safety and sustainability by inspecting areas for safety issues and taking corrective actions.
Requirements

You'll excel in this role if you have:

  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role.
  • A trade qualification in mechanical or building services, or a desire to attain one.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems, Building Management Systems, and fire requirements.
  • Hotel experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Organisational skills and ability to effectively plan and prioritise.
  • Flexibility to be on call for out-of-hours engineering issues.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as benefits such as:
