Volunteer Craftspeople Sought

Our organisation is seeking a Volunteer Craftspeople to contribute their skills and enthusiasm in a rewarding role.

About the Role

  • This volunteer opportunity is based at our Residential Aged Care facility in Melbourne.
  • As a Volunteer Craftspeople, you will work closely with our Practice and Support Coordinator/Lifestyle Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide creative support and engagement to residents and community members.
  • To foster an inclusive environment aligned with our values.
  • To strengthen our ability to deliver essential services, create social connections, and uphold dignity.
  • To lead group activities, promote positive relationships, and create a safe welcoming space.
  • To ensure participants' comfort and safety during sessions.

What We're Looking For

  • A passion for crafting and creativity.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with our residents.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead group activities.

Requirements

  • No special skills required, just a warm heart and a desire to make a difference.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Two referees who can speak to your character.
  • Reliability, compassion, and a commitment to regular volunteering.
