About the Role

As a key member of our Renewable Energy team, the Wind Energy Leader will play a crucial role in leading onshore wind projects and providing technical expertise. With a proven track record in onshore wind design, construction, and project management, this role will provide valuable insights to our clients and contribute to the growth of our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Project Management: meet deadlines, monitor budgets, and control expenditure to meet financial targets.
  • Represent Arup at internal and external events and design and deliver events, activities, and projects that impact the business.
  • Lead and develop a team of professionals through guidance, training, direction, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Recognized tertiary qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or similar.
  • A career track record of utility-scale wind experience.
  • An established presence within the renewable market and associated industry contacts.
  • Deep expertise in foundation design would be highly valued.
  • Relevant industry experience in power systems, solar PV, hydrogen, battery energy storage, pumped hydro, lenders' technical due diligence, project management, project proposals, within a consulting business environment would be considered advantageous.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions or professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
