Job Opportunity

As a Senior Research Communications Officer, you will play a vital role in the Resilient Landscapes Hub at The University of Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of nationally significant environmental research and be part of a collaborative and high-performing academic hub.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Hub Leader and Manager (Communications) to deliver the Hub's communications strategy.
  • Develop and coordinate science communication products and activities, including writing plain-language summaries, media releases, newsletter stories, and graphical content.
  • Contribute to the Hub's website and social media channels, organize events, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in science communication or demonstrated equivalent competency in communicating science.
  • You will have demonstrated ability to understand and translate scientific outcomes into targeted communication products.
  • You will have proficiency in the production of communication materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • You will have experience engaging with a broad network of stakeholders.
