About the Role

The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled Rural Financial Counselling Trainer to join our Vocational Training team. As a trainer, you will play a crucial role in equipping future counsellors to make a positive impact in their local community.

This casual role offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely and adjust your schedule to suit your lifestyle. You will be required to work approximately 12 hours per week.

To be successful in this role, you will have work experience as a Rural Financial Counsellor and a passion for sharing your knowledge and expertise with others. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs, sourcing and contextualising training materials, and providing meaningful feedback to learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training programs on campus, online, or in the workplace, ensuring they meet RTO procedures.
  • Source and contextualise training materials to meet learner needs, ensuring they are engaging and up-to-date.
  • Mark submitted assessments within the required timeframe and provide constructive feedback.
  • Establish and build networks across The Salvation Army, particularly within Eva Burrows College.
  • Contribute to the evaluation program of RTO activities, compiling reports with key learnings and recommendations.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in supporting diverse cohorts of learners on campus and online. To be successful, you will require:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Relevant Financial Counselling qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience supporting diverse learner groups, on campus and online
