Senior Oncology Nursing Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced nurse to join the oncology day unit at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide safe and compassionate care to adult patients undergoing treatment for oncological and haematological conditions in a busy 8-chair, 1-bed unit operating Monday to Friday.
The team works collaboratively with clinical nurse consultants, a nurse practitioner, a McGrath cancer nurse, and oncology educators to ensure patients and their families receive excellent support throughout their treatment journey.
A supernumerary shift at commencement will support the transition into the role, and ongoing oncology-specific training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be an accredited cannulator and have a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
They must also be a proactive and compassionate nurse who enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Able to adapt in a busy clinical setting while maintaining professionalism and empathy, motivated to learn and build expertise in oncology and haematology nursing.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing or working towards.
