Integrated Project Services is seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a Process Engineer, you will assist and provide process engineering design and project support services on manufacturing and operational process systems for numerous cutting-edge pharmaceutical/life science facilities.

The Process Engineer will be responsible for preparing process design documents and deliverables for all phases of projects, including Conceptual Designs, Basis of Design, and Detailed Design. You will use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares process design documents and deliverables for all phases of projects.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Modifies reports, specifications, drawings, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs to scope of the project as directed by the Lead Engineer.
  • Makes calculations, using engineering formulas and skills for process design.
  • Creates specialized drawings such as PFDs, MFDs, UDDs, and P&IDs.
  • Selects equipment based on recommendations of Lead Process Engineer and generates equipment lists and schedules.
  • Provides drawing for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate into drawings by drafters.
  • Researches design options and documents findings for Lead Process Engineer.
  • Keeps Lead Engineer informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services. Provides information to Lead Engineer for incorporation into specifications.
  • Designs in accordance with cGMP process guidelines for pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Organizes and maintains project files. Maintains a neat and organized work area which allows efficient access to information required by other team members.
  • Assures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in (Chemical) Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience in a variety of pharmaceutical projects including API, OSD, and Aseptic Fill / Finishing a plus.
  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
  • Ability to interface with other disciplines on a project where required.
