About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer II/III to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge pharmaceutical/life science facilities and contribute to various project teams. As a Process Engineer, you will utilize your education, intelligence, and common sense to resolve engineering problems and tasks assigned.

The successful candidate must currently reside in and be authorized to work in Australia or New Zealand, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed process design documents and deliverables for all phases of projects, including Conceptual Designs, Basis of Design, and Detailed Design.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Modify reports, specifications, drawings (PFD's and P&ID's), construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs as directed by the Lead Engineer.
  • Makes calculations using engineering formulas and skills for process design.
  • Develop specialized drawings such as PFD's, MFD's, UDD's, and P&ID's.
  • Select equipment based on recommendations from the Lead Process Engineer and generate equipment lists and schedules.
  • Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate into drawings by drafters.
  • Conduct research on design options and document findings for the Lead Process Engineer.
  • Maintain open communication with the Lead Engineer regarding workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
  • Ensure that drawings and designs adhere to cGMP process guidelines for pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Organize and maintain project files while maintaining a neat and organized workspace for efficient access to information required by other team members.
  • Affirm that drawings and designs meet company production and design standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience in various pharmaceutical projects, including API, OSD, and Aseptic Fill / Finishing, is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
  • Ability to effectively interface with other disciplines on a project when necessary.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annumAbout Us
