As a seasoned electrical project leader, you will oversee the delivery of complex power quality projects across Australia. The position involves driving the engineering function for all Power Quality opportunities and initiatives, with a focus on Synchronous Condenser projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps to inform project and tendering activities for high-voltage offerings.
  • Engage with customers, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to promote innovation and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective implementation of engineering solutions in line with standard solution offerings, contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

You will leverage your technical expertise to build credibility and influence with clients, provide configuration expertise, and identify opportunities for customers to derive value from our products and technology. You will define or contribute to the determination of technology, delivery models, and statements of work for tenders and projects.

As a technology authority, you will ensure that engineering deliverables are developed with complete information and accuracy. You will evaluate, select, and adapt products, techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet customer needs. Collaboration with customers is key to shaping and delivering solutions that drive improvements and meet project objectives.

Your role will involve attending project meetings, presenting technical aspects of project assignments, and contributing to the implementation of projects as both a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a solution configuration specialist. You will also lead the development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges, driving the completion of all engineering activities on the project.

Technical support will be provided to Project Managers, and you will collaborate on project installation, commissioning, and site activities. You will clarify potential issues and provide solutions to correct engineering errors. Your input will be valuable during commissioning and start-up activities.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering Degree (Bachelor) with relevant experience in the High Voltage industry, minimum 15 years' experience in High Voltage Utility/Renewables sector or similar related industry, registered or eligible for CPENG and RPEQ certifications, and proficient with MS Word and Excel software.
