This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic engineering team and contribute to the delivery of complex electrical design projects in the energy sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in primary and secondary design for high voltage systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver detailed electrical designs for HV substations and industrial power systems
  • Develop and review protection schemes (excluding PLC programming)
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Provide peer reviews and support junior engineers
  • Participate in site visits
  • Drive innovation in electrical design practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support project bidding and proposal development by providing technical input and estimates
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and industry regulations
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to facilitate project approvals
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the electrical engineering team's growth and capability development

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in HV electrical design (33-66kV)
  • Proficient in protection/secondary and primary design
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full Australian working rights
